At Top Paw K9 Academy, we prefer the term canine coaching over traditional dog training. Coaching is about more than teaching commands—it’s a structured approach that helps dogs discover their own strengths and make positive, intentional choices.

 

In this process, the dog and coach operate as a team, with the dog actively participating and contributing to every step of learning. This collaborative method builds empowerment and self-confidence, which are the foundations for lasting behavior change.

 

By focusing on these traits rather than simply enforcing obedience, we help dogs develop skills they can use throughout their lives—creating not just well-behaved pets, but confident, capable, and resilient companions.
