An immersive training experience designed to create reliable, lasting results. We begin by building emotional regulation, engagement, stress resilience, happiness, trust, and a strong working relationship before moving into formal obedience or behavior modification. Dogs learn how to think, problem-solve, and settle — not just follow through. Once foundation and neutrality are established we apply training in the real world through structured field trips to public environments such as parks, Home Depot, Bass Pro, and other distraction-rich settings. Throughout your dog's stay you'll receive tutorial videos and detailed PDF guides outlining each exercise.

Play N' Train

Structured daycare with purpose — Play N' Train is nothing like traditional dog daycare. Dogs participate in guided social exposure, controlled play sessions, engagement exercises, and structured settle work throughout the day. Our focus is on building appropriate social skills, impulse control, and emotional balance — preventing overstimulation while reinforcing healthy behavior patterns. Training sessions can be incorporated based on individual goals and readiness.

Group Training Classes

Structured, small-group training designed to build clarity, engagement, and steady progress in a focused environment. Our Advanced level is conducted in real-world settings such as public parks, stores, and other distraction-rich environments. Each class runs in a four-week series, limited to five dogs per class. Classes operate on a closed enrollment basis — once a session begins we do not add new dogs mid-series so each group can progress together without disruption.

Wednesdays: Beginner 5:30–6:30 PM | Advanced 6:45–7:45 PM

Private Training

One-on-one, hands-on training designed to create clarity, structure, and real-world reliability. Sessions are customized to your dog's needs and goals — whether that's foundational obedience, behavior modification, engagement work, or building emotional regulation. Training may take place inside the facility or in real-world environments depending on what will best support progress. In-person session availability is Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend sessions may be available between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM with a $55 weekend fee. After each session you'll receive clear homework guidance to continue momentum between appointments.

Consultations

We offer complimentary in-person or virtual consultations to evaluate your dog's behavior, training history, and goals. During this session we assess current challenges, identify underlying patterns, and provide clear recommendations on the most effective program path. Every dog is different and your plan should be too. Consultations are available by appointment only — please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Breeder Reputability

For those looking for assistance locating a reputable breeder. This can be based on location, breed, and desired future job for the dog — such as Service Dogs, Protection Dogs, and more. We help you find a breeder whose practices and genetics align with your specific goals and lifestyle.

Apprenticeships

Have you ever wanted to learn from the best in dog training? We are happy to offer the opportunity of taking part in an apprenticeship. You will be guided by Jennifer and learn both the theories, science-backed practices, and techniques she uses and supports. You will also have ample opportunity for hands-on experience with dogs and real training environments.

Overnight Boarding Services

This service is only available to dogs who are current or past Top Paw K9 Academy clients. Dogs can be boarded at our facility where they will stay for a predetermined amount of time in the structured, calm environment they already know and thrive in.

New Beginnings

The New Beginnings program has now officially moved to our sister-business, Rocky Mountain K9 Rehab & Rehome. When an owner realizes they are unable to give their dog the life they deserve they will often make the difficult choice to rehome them. This is where we come in and offer extensive training for those behavioral concerns to reduce the potential of the rehoming cycle repeating itself.
